My vet told me to use antibiotic ointment once on a hot spot. Just make sure she does not lick it off. If she has skin allergies, she may have a secondary infection (the rawness) and need to get to the vet. The situation will get worse if she doesn’t.

If your dog skin is raw, the best thing to do is to take it to the vet tomorrow.. Putting on anything from a store and not a vet. is not what your dog needs right now. It sounds like your pup may need a little more of a med from your vet. By putting on things for hot spots and hearing your dog skin is raw it may be even more painful for it. Plus the vet can offer you suggestions on how to help your dog not have this problem Again.. For now maybe cool wet compress’ on the spot. There is also a bath shampoo that is wonderful for dogs that have itchy skin and feet. It’s kinda expensive but if you follow the directions on the bottle it will work very good. If your dog is like mine I have to give my pup a bath every 3 days when her allergies start up. The shampoo is called maleseb ask your vet about it…

UNLESS IT’S FROM A VET-MOST HUMAN OINTMENTS CAN POISON A DOG WHEN THEY KEEP LICKING IT OFF. TRY VEGETABLE OIL-SAME PH AS HIS SKIN AND GIVE HIM A BENADRYL-IT COULD BE HOT SPOTS EVEN IF ITS NOT-IT’LL STOP THE ITCHING
