Allergies…my dog has over 200 of em and has the same symtoms, it’s just that time of the year, ask your vet about giving her some allergy meds. like benadrill (or however you spell it!!!) and they should clear up. Hope this helps!!!!!!!!!: )

Sounds like an allergy. It could be to fleas, fly bites or even grass and pollen.

My Rat terrier is allergic to grass and pollen and we use a combination of Dermacton cream and spray to keep it under control. Spring and summer is the worst time of year for it. Dermacton is great and prevents him from needing benadryl which made him groggy and away from steroid based creams.

I get mine online from here:

I am assuming she is on a flea treatment – though, but fleas can still bite before the products kill them and cause problems if your dog is allergic.

Actually this sounds exactly like demodex mange it’s non contagious. What it is is that all dogs have mites on their skin. When something stresses them or weakens their immune systems the mites attack. This causes the open sores and hair loss. You would need to take your dog in for a skin scraping at the vet it’s around $ 30 then they can diagnose for demodex or scabies. It’s quick but yes the scraping hurts I hate watching my rescues go through this. It can also get hot. I’ve noticed a lot of my pit sharpei mixes get demodex. Once diagnosed treatment is a mitabin dip…like a flea dip…needs to be done every 10 days til it looks good…dips are around $ 40 each but well worth it. Good luck. You can also give your dog benadryl and dont worry its safe call your vet for dosage.
